Chairman Zou Weimin Meets with Mongolian Ambassador Damba Gankhuyag

Zou Weimin, Chairman of MCC Overseas made an invited visit to Mongolian Embassy in Beijing and met with His Excellency Ambassador Damba Gankhuyag. The two sides had an in-depth exchange on Mongolian political and economic conditions, mining and real estate development as well as projects that the two sides have been working on together.

Zou, on behalf of MCC Overseas, expressed his appreciation for the hospitality of His Excellency before he briefly introduced MCC Group and MCC Overseas. MCC Group (Metallurgical Corporation of China) is a large state-owned enterprise directly administrated by the central government with core business in four areas, EPC contracting, property development, equipment manufacturing and resources development. In 2009, it was listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange Market and Hong Kong Stock Exchange Market. In 2016, it ranked 290th among Fortune 500 and was combined with Minmetals under state-owned enterprise reshuffle policy. And now it has an estimated asset of 300 billion RMB.

MCC Overseas is a platform through which MCC Group develop overseas market. It has branches and offices in over 10 countries and regions and has business presence in over 30 countries and regions in Asia, Europe, Oceania, America and Africa. As the chairman MCC Overseas, Zou himself has oversea project management experience in Nigeria, Cambodia and Hong Kong. He hopes that MCC Overseas could help Mongolia with economic and social development under the “Belt and Road” Initiative. The success of the newly-held 19th session of National Congress of the Communist Party of China is a signal for new opportunities for bilateral cooperation.

His Excellency Ambassador Damba warmly welcomed Zou. He said that cooperation between Mongolian and Chinese enterprises dates long back and the two sides have developed deep and close friendship. As the main route that connects China and Europe, Mongolia has witnessed the operation of multiple mining and property development projects under the “Belt and Road” initiative. Besides, Mongolia has been working closely with Import and Export Bank of China and National Development and Reform Commission. The new administration of Mongolia is willing to work with parties that help it develop its economy and will provide MCC Overseas with full support in its cooperation with Mongolian enterprises.
