MCC Spirit Shines on CCTV2 on New Year's Eve

As the new year is around the corner, the Completion Ceremony of W Hotel Project undertaken by MCC Overseas is on air through the “New Year New Worldspecial series by CCTV 2 on New Year’s Eve.

The series aim to reveal the great achievements that China has made in economic, technology, and social areas, especially accomplishments made in cooperation with countries along the “Belt and Road” in the past year. Four projects stood out and were chosen from over 3000 candidate projects for its magnificent significance and influence. MCC Overseas’ W Hotel is one of them to greet people of the country and wish them great fortune and a very happy new year.

During the live show, W Hotel project meets the viewers as part of the count down. It presents to the world the “Never Delaying. Never Slacking” spirit of MCC to the world. The second it is on air, it’s all over the place of Wechat and Weibo. To MCC, it is a perfect way to conclude the year of 2017 and commence the year of 2018.

Ever since the beginning of the construction in May, 2014, W Hotel project has received great attention from interested parties, as well as top leaders of MCC. Guo Wenqing, President of Minmetal and Chairman of MCC Group, Zhang Zhaoxiang, Vice-President of Minmetal and President of MCC Group, and Zou Weimin, Chairman of MCC Overseas went to the project site and inspected the work. This project is also reported by “Homeland Dreamland” program by CCTV 4 as a feature project in countries along the “Belt and Road”.

Located in the core area in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, W Hotel project sits close to Petronas Twin Towers, a landmark building in Malaysia. This project is a key project for MCC to implement “Belt and Road” Initiative. It is a five star hotel and apartment building with a height of 235 meters. The first high-rise building that exceeds 200 meters that MCC has undertaken in Overseas. Now, it is another landmark building in Kuala Lumpur.
